II spent more than 20 years working in education, including as a teacher and Deputy Head. I have also worked as a school counsellor and CYP practitioner.
This experience gives me an understanding of the pressures that can affect people working in education, as well as the challenges young people can experience within school and education.
My counselling is person-centred, confidential and non-judgemental, providing space to explore whatever is affecting you.
I offer counselling support for teachers and other education professionals who may be experiencing stress, pressure, anxiety, low mood, burnout or difficulties related to their work.
I also support young people aged 12 and over who may be struggling with school, education, relationships, confidence, emotions or other difficulties affecting their lives.
My experience of working within education helps me understand the pressures and expectations that can arise in educational settings.
Education can bring pressures and challenges at different stages of life. I can support you with issues such as anxiety, stress, low confidence, low mood, difficulties managing emotions, relationships, work-related difficulties and feeling overwhelmed.
For young people, counselling can provide a confidential space to explore worries, friendships, relationships, school pressures, identity, confidence and other experiences that may be affecting their wellbeing.
You don't need to know exactly what is wrong before seeking counselling. We can explore what is happening together, at a pace that feels right for you.
